Dr Vikash Lala

Dr. Lala obtained his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from the University of Witwatersrand. He specialized in internal medicine and then sub-specialized in medical gastroenterology. He subsequently completed the European Specialty Examination in Gastroenterology & Hepatology and then completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy at the University Hospital of Ghent in Belgium. Through his shared passion for teaching and improving quality in endoscopy, he earned a lifetime membership to the Ghent International Endoscopy Quality Symposium. Dr Lala specializes in advanced endoscopic procedures including, the removal of precancerous and early cancers in the gastrointestinal tract (EMR, ESD, FTR), the endoscopic treatment of motility disorders (POEM, G-POEM, Z-POEM) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS).
