Dr Khushica Purbhoo is a Specialist Nuclear Physician with over fifteen years of clinical and strategic experience in nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, and radionuclide therapy. She obtained her Fellowship of the College of Nuclear Physicians of South Africa (FCNP(SA) in 2009 and completed her Masters in Nuclear Medicine in 2013, both at the University of the Witwatersrand. Dr Purbhoo has contributed to the academic body of the specialty through peer-reviewed publications and active participation in national and international congresses and workshops. Her areas of expertise include oncologic imaging, paediatric nuclear medicine, endocrinology, and cardiac imaging as well as therapeutic nuclear medicine in multidisciplinary care environments. Dr Purbhoo’s professional ethos is grounded in continuous learning, innovation, and the pursuit of excellence, guided by her belief that learning is a treasure that follows the student everywhere.
